Andy’s background in engineering and strategy exposed him to the vast hidden impacts in global resource industries. Planet Price is his response — a way to move from spreadsheets and ambition to scalable, practical action.

Mike Capps Co-Founder

With more than 20 years leading high-growth technology organisations, Mike approaches sustainability with clarity and practicality. A simple conversation with his young daughter about the future underscored what’s at stake — and the need for tools that help us understand our impact in order to change it.

Our Origin Story

We spent decades working with some of the world’s largest, most asset-intensive organisations — helping them optimise supply chains, streamline operations, and unlock value through better data and analytics.

Ultimately, we built a global enterprise technology company that was acquired by IBM. It was an extraordinary journey: algorithms designed, billions in spend analysed, amazing countries visited.

But it came with an uncomfortable view: the deeper we looked, the more we saw.

The environmental and social costs of industrial supply chains — the damage to land, water, climate, communities — often sat just outside the frame.

So, after years of helping optimise for efficiency and profit, we decided to build a platform that optimises for impact too.
